Traffic offenses under the Road Transport Act 1987 and Road Traffic Rules 1959 are subject to standardized rates set by the Road Transport Department (JPJ), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
The rates follow a “the more you delay, the more you pay” concept, effective March 1, 2011, and appeals will not be considered.
Parking offenses under the Road Traffic Order (Metered Parking) (Federal Territory) 1984 and Road Traffic Order (Provision for Parking Spaces) (Capital) 1984 follow fixed rates.
Individuals who have received a notice can settle their compounds at any DBKL payment counter.
