The Kuala Lumpur Control & Command Centre (KLCCC) in Bukit Jalil plays an important role in helping to provide real-time information related to traffic congestion, accidents, or vehicle breakdowns to DBKL's internal departments and relevant agencies in addressing any possibilities by taking appropriate actions immediately. The installation of 5000 CCTV units in strategic areas around Kuala Lumpur is for the purpose of monitoring any incidents occurring around Kuala Lumpur. Other incidents include traffic violations, vandalism, security issues, and disasters such as flash floods, fallen trees, road subsidence, and landslides. It disseminates the latest traffic and disaster information to city residents using 140 electronic information boards (VMS) installed on Kuala Lumpur's main roads, through social media, and also the MOBIS application.
